Everything starts with a dream. Mine began in Hazleton, PA. There, driving north up I-81, you crest a ridge and see this jewel of a valley laid out before you, golden in the morning sun. "Wouldn't it be fine to fly an ultralight airplane over that valley! I want to do it!" I said that year after year as we drove north on vacations, long before I got a trike. So when the government shutdown furloughed me, and a high pressure area produced a string of no-wind days, I made a pilgrimage to the Conyngham Valley, to fly over it in an ultralight airplane, just as I had dreamed.
