One of my great pleasures every year is organizing the annual Poker Run for Flying Club 1. It's an excuse to go flying with friends to private airfields that are normally closed to us.

The concept is simple: Everyone antes in $5 at the start. Then they fly to five airports, picking up a sealed envelope at each field. Each envelope contains a playing card. Back home, we show, and the best poker hand takes the pot. It's not much of a poker game, but of course that's not the point. The point is the flying.
