This was a sad moment for all the people involved, and an anxious one for the dog I suppose. We had spent a couple of hours the day before getting to know the puppy. Ellen had taken him for some walks, getting him used to her.

We returned Saturday morning for 2-1/2 hours. Nancy went over everything in great detail - care, feeding, health, training, supplies, vaccination record, what to expect at Customs, and much more. Since I've never had a dog, I'm astonished at how much there is to learn. Ellen soaks it all up.
