Havre de Grace, Looking Northeast
The Susquehanna River, flowing from the left, joins the upper reaches of the bay here. (Actually, the whole Chesapeake Bay is the flooded valley of the ancient Susquehanna.) All the bridges are there because this is the main north-south artery on the east coast.
