It’s a path that lets the kids in the green townhouse neighborhood get through to the school in the pink neighborhood without walking beside the busy highway to the south.

But that’s the tedious grown-up reason. What it really is, is a way for us kids on bikes to ditch the cops. Like in the movie ET. We know the neighborhood. This is our secret way where cars can't follow. I gotta take my bike through there!
