This gallery shows two designs for dog park gates, contrasting those in Fairfax County (South Run Dog Park) with those in Arlington County (The Towers and Utah).

In general, the Fairfax designers have under-estimated the wear and tear that the gates must withstand. They have not held up well. By contrast, the Arlington design shows what works.
