Entering the Canaan Valley from the south
It's all downhill from here to Windwood Resort, so our worries about mountain flying are over. But we're definitely in the high country now. At 3,200', the valley floor is as high as the mountain tops earlier. To the right is the 4,000' plateau of the Dolly Sods, which we have flanked to the south.
