It was all Tom Simmons' idea. He said, "I'm going to fly my ultralight into Dulles International. It'll be the first ultralight ever to land there." So I wangled an invitation for me and my trike and joined him.

Of course, we little guys have NO business there, but the Smithsonian invited us in for the Udvar-Hazy Museum's Become A Pilot Day, and the fabulous Chuck Tippett escorted us in. So it was high adventure - flying with the big dogs!
